Joel is responsible for executing the strategic plan to drive profitable growth for the Cardiac Rhythm Management & Neuromodulation (CRM&N) product line, and for ensuring operational excellence throughout the organization’s six sites in three countries.
Under Joel’s leadership, Integer is leveraging its global operational footprint, capacity and capabilities to deliver for customers, associates and shareholders. His passion for enhancing patient lives through customers and a unique perspective based on extensive healthcare experience, deep product knowledge, customer and competitor insights and strong industry relationships drives Integer’s CRM&N leadership position.
Prior to joining Integer, Joel held various leadership roles over a nearly 20-year career at St. Jude Medical, a multibillion-dollar business with market leading technology in electrophysiology, cardiology and neuromodulation. He served as President of the America’s division responsible for Cardiac Rhythm Management, Electrophysiology, Vascular, Structural Heart and Neuromodulation, and was a founding management team member for the Atrial Fibrillation division, which grew to be a leader in the market during his tenure. Joel also held executive leadership positions at Myocor, XchangeLabs LLC, and Viking North Ventures.
Throughout his career, Joel has successfully developed strategies to build and grow businesses, then applied a strong operating discipline along with functional expertise in mergers, acquisitions, marketing, sales, clinical affairs, program management and product development to foster innovation, develop and introduce quality products, and exceed revenue and profit goals.
Joel holds a Master of Business Administration from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Augustana College.
